February, already?

It's February 8th are you on track with your New Years Resolutions?

I AM! (kinda)

Clearly, I have done a horrible job at keeping up with this blog. But before publishing this, I have written 2 other blog drafts and have recently been inspired to write. I even wrote a poem last night for the first time in 5 years #inspired. I hope this creative spark stays longer than a week.

Fitness wise, 4 days a week has been tough. I have neither gained nor lost any weight. I've been doing more like 2 or 3 days a week, but I have stuck to doing more of a variety in my activities. I do Zumba once a week, I tried power vinyasa yoga, and have taken a tap class at Broadway Dance. With 15 more Zumba classes left on my pre-paid class card and my love for tap stronger than ever before, I can imagine this is the one resolution that will stick with me for the next 11 months of 2012.

Reading? Does reading blogs count? Guess not. Gotta put my kindle to use.

Moving out is officially on hold so I can go on a nice vacation, but it WILL happen before 2013.

Are you on track with your resolutions for 2012? What are you doing to make sure you stick to them? Please share your insights in the comments!

Lies All Girls Tell

For those of you who know me, know that I am not one to lie. For those of you who don't know me, my friends will tell you that I'm probably the most blunt person they know. I have no problem speaking my mind, sometimes to the point where I wonder if I was born without a filter. That being said, there are some scenarios where you can't help but lie. Here's a brief list of lies all girls (including me) tell:

- It's not you, it's me.

- I can't go out tonight I have a stomach-ache/ headache/ mono.

- Sorry, I already have plans!

- Yeah, I don't wanna be in a relationship either/ I'm not looking for anything serious.

- I'm full.

- I'm not hungry.

- I totally didn't see your missed call/text/facebook mesage/ tweet!

- OMG I love your hair.

- No, we didn't hook up.

- I love my job.

- How's my boyfriend? He's PERFECT.

- I'm totally cool with you spending the weekend with your friends instead of with me.

- Ew. His new girlfriend is disgusting. You're WAY prettier than she will ever be.

- I'm on my way.

- I'll be ready in 5 minutes.

- I'm fine.

Ladies - did I miss any? What other lies do you tell?

Bachelor Nation

The new year is here which means.... NEW SEASON OF THE BACHELOR!

As I swooned over JP while he fell in love with Ashley last season, I am now even more excited to watch these crazy bitches fight over Ben F, who was rejected by Ashley in the ever so emotional season finale of the Bachelorette this summer.

Ben F. was not my favorite ... in fact I found him a little weird. But this season it seems the producers told him to ham it up a bit, because he's a lot more charming and adorable this time around. The girls on the other hand...wow. What a bunch. Between Jenna the blogger from NY crying in the bathroom night one and the two girls practically making out on the couch...I can tell this season is going to be one for the books.

Two standout front runners:
1. Lindzi (or however weird way she spelled it) who rode in on the horse and was super adorable in her gorgeous black gown. First impression rose was given to her so Ben obviously has his eye on her as well.
2. Kaycie the southern brunette was just so cute. I always love the southern girls' accents.

Two favorite parts of the episode:
1. Jenna saying ,"Great, lets share a tampon sometime."
2. Grandma. Enough said.

Glad I DVRed and was able to flip through a lot of Chris Harrison's intros. The two hours go by a lot quicker without that, commercials, and re-caps. Note to self: always DVR the bachelor.

What are your thoughts on the first episode of the season? Who are your stand out ladies? Do you think Ben's cute? Comment below.
