New Years Resolutions

2011 has been a crazy year for me. I graduated college, started my first full time job, fell in and out of love, and have become a better, more positive person. As the year comes to a close, I'm anxiously looking forward to see what 2012 holds in store. This year is the first year I plan to make some new years resolutions. Let's see how long I can keep these for.

1. Move out!
2012 is the year to get out on my own. Target month is September, but as long as I'm out before this time next year, I'll be content. Until then, I will be taking advantage of rent-free living and saving up as much as I can.

2. Get back into a workout routine
February 2011 I started P90X and had a solid workout regime until about September. January 3, 2012 a new routine will begin! It is imperative to get back into shape. Working out is a great stress relief and I miss the beautifully sculpted arms and abs I had this summer.

3. Get back into tap dancing
Twice a month I want to take a class in the city. Once a month it will always be a tap class. The other class a month will be different each month: a jazz or hip hop class, a zumba, a yoga, etc. This will help support my goal of getting into a workout routine that won't get stale and will let me re-discover my love for tap dancing.

4. Read one book a month
I really love to read and it's something I wish I had more time to do. One book a month is a low goal and definitely attainable (especially with my new kindle fire!)

5. Keep up with this blog
I've let this blog go the wayside. Hoping to do bi-monthly posts and eventually back to once a week posting.

What are your New Years Resolutions?

60 Day Challenge

It's that time again - to restart a fitness program. This summer I tackled TurboFire, which I absolutely loved. I lost 2 inches off my waist in 2 months and felt my core and legs getting extremely strong. I copped out during month 3 and have now been on a one month hiatus from any kind of working out. I'm feeling the negative effects of my actions. So yesterday began my new 60 Day Challenge - P90X/TurboFire Hyrbid! To start, I took a walk for an hour and a half. Then I did Ab RipperX and Fire30 - culminating in over 2 hours of workout. A bit extreme for me - but it was a great way to get back in gear. I already feel my energy level improving today and I'm looking forward to P90X Shoulders and Arms later tonight.

Along with the work outs, I plan on getting my eating habits back in order. No eating past 8PM, breakfast every morning, and massive amounts of water.

I urge all of you to join me in my 60 Day Challenge. You don't have to do anything as intense as I am - but think about 2 or 3 specific things you know you could change in your daily life to improve your health. Maybe take a 10 minute walk during your lunch break, or substitute a coffee a day for a glass of water. Or maybe take that yoga class you keep wanting to try.

It takes 21 days to make a habit. Start your good habits today and you'll be surprised by day 60 how different you look and feel.

If you want to join me, I'll gladly be your support and accountability. THERE'S NO DAY LIKE TODAY!

Fall TV

Happy October!! The month of fresh, cool air, scarves, pumpkins, and changing leaves. And most importantly FALL TV SHOWS! Here is what I have cluttering my DVR this season:

The New Girl - my favorite of the season so far. Zooey Deschanel plays a hilariously awkward girl who just got out of a relationship and is now living with 3 guys. NBC on Tuesday nights - watch it if you haven't I promise you won't regret it.

Pan Am - Still not sure how I feel about it. Hoping tonight's episode is a little better than last weeks.

Fringe - Season 4 is up and running and is just as amazing as ever before. I've been watching religiously since Season 1, Episode 1, and am severely addicted. You never know what will happen next and I love every moment of anticipation.

The Office - No Michael Scott this season, but just as funny. If you have stopped watching because he left, you're an idiot (sorry, it's true).

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - No words to describe the level of zaniness the writers have taken "the crew" this season. They have spoofed on the Jersey Shore and Toddler and Tiaras so far and I'm excited to see what other situations they find themselves in.

Glee/ America's Next Top Model All Stars - My 2 guilty pleasures. Don't judge. You have them too.

I'm hoping to also play catch up on Terra Nova ... and Dexter is the one show I regret never getting into.

What's your favorite Fall TV Show? Are there other new shows I should be watching? Share below!
